Art heals wounds nothing else can reach

A Window Between Worlds is a wonderful non-profit with an intriguing mission: using the power of art to to help victims overcome trauma. When they approached me to create a series of mini-documentaries highlighting the winners of their annual HeART Awards, I leapt at the opportunity—and was fortunate that my good friend, 50 Films director Rick McFarland, leapt with me.

We shot everything in twelve hours with the two of us, two cameras and a sound guy, and edited it over the following weekend. I think we ended up with some nice little films—and happily the folks at AWBW agreed.
